"As time goes on, my personal interest and passion for handmade or hand finished textiles increases. These rare and authentic products are produced by artisans in small quantities using ancient weaving and embellishing techniques.
Currently, I am working with artisans in villages in Viet Nam and Peru to preserve their ancient textile production.
The Vietnamese Anichini collection will feature rich, hand embroidered silks. Many countries have their own unique textile heritage, and Viet Nam makes the most beautiful silk in the world.
The Chinese and Indians are both famous for their luxurious silks. They go to Viet Nam to buy their silk and so will Anichini!
Anichini will be combining taffetas and charmeuses in brilliant colorations and embellishing some products with stunning Vietnamese embroidery.
From Peru, we are offering exquisite throws and blankets made from Alpaca and Baby Alpaca.
No dyes needed- the Alpacas produce ultra-fine wool in nine deep, earth tone colors. Different wools may be woven together to create a mélange (an entirely new natural color).
These Peruvian wool products are 100% hand loomed! In my mind, this is the very definition of luxury- rare, authentic, and handmade.
