How To Care For Linen Coverlets

Everyday Care

Machine wash warm on a gentle cycle using a mild liquid detergent.

Line dry or tumble dry low.

Avoid bleach, fabric softeners, and detergents containing optical brighteners.

For Best Results

  • Linen naturally becomes softer and more supple with every wash.
  • Tumble drying on low heat softens the fiber and creates a fuller, more relaxed hand, while line drying preserves linen's natural texture and character.
  • For ivory and natural-colored linens, choose a detergent without optical brighteners to help preserve the original color.
  • Remove promptly from the dryer to minimize wrinkles.
  • Properly cared for, linen coverlets can provide years of everyday comfort and enjoyment.
