The designs you see are timeless and date back 500 years. The colors are a different story. This is what makes them look so fresh and new.
Italians use towels in a dedicated way. All homes have them hanging in their kitchen and bathrooms and they are used. These are rugged products that can be washed in a machine and air dried. All the fringes are still knotted by hand. To wash the fringes, gather them in your hand, bend in two and wrap with a rubber band. Then wash in the machine.
