The Theodora Percale Sheets are created for those who want the look of a hand-made gigliuccio. Gigliuccio is an Italian embellishment which consists of a drawn thread technique between two rows of hemstitching. Since this form of embellishment has become astronomically expensive, we have, instead, constructed this design with a lace insertion - creating a very similar look at the fraction of the cost.
Theodora's higher thread count lends a more substantial, silkier hand. The true determiners of a sheet's quality are the quality of the cotton which is used and the finishing of the sheet. Unlike many other companies, at ANICHINI we still produce all of our sheeting in Italy from the finest Extra-Long Staple Cotton (ELS) cotton available. Theodora is finished by hand with exacting standards, the embellishment is the ultimate in artisanal luxury.

How To Care For Cotton Sheeting
Everyday Care
Machine wash warm on a gentle cycle using a mild liquid detergent.
Tumble dry low and remove while slightly damp to maintain softness and minimize wrinkles.
Avoid bleach and fabric softeners.
For Best Results
- Wash whites, colors, and prints separately
- Use a gentle detergent without optical brighteners
- Overdrying can shorten the life of natural fibers
- Line drying when possible helps preserve softness and longevity
- A light ironing while damp creates a crisp hotel-style finish
